Simplicity pattern book

I've just discovered the wonderful blog A Few Threads Loose and it reminded me that
a couple of years ago I found a 1960s Simplicity pattern book in an op shop.
Since I don't have a scanner I took some photos.

I love the Mondrian Opti-lon zip advertisement.

The Carnaby dress is similar to something I remember Mum and I sewing at about the age of ten!
Even the print is similar.

I'd die for one of these Adjustoform models.

I adore the aqua jacket with bow.

How about 6127, with the back cowl and bow?

I also have a Maudella pattern book in my stash, which I'll blog about soon.

So forgetful

Well it looks like I've forgotten to update my blog for over a year!
Not really, but I decided it needed to go in a different direction, if it was to survive.
I think I was using it as an excuse to collect stuff that I no longer have room for.
If I do decide to keep blogging, it will likely have more of a sewing/refashioning focus.
My fabric stash is one collection I don't think I could bear to part with.

Not to mention the patterns, haberdashery, tablecloths, vintage sheets and curtains which are stashed away elsewhere.

Last year was a rough one for our family as we lost my brother in a car accident.
That's not something you can forget in a hurry, it puts everything else into perspective and makes you question what's really important.
Rest in peace Pete.
